My husband and I stopped by Dharma Fine Vittles in Orlando. This is a vegan restaurant in Orlando that also has locations in Sanford and Tampa. We have been to the Sanford location, which you can read about here.
Dharma Fine Vittles is located inside Market on South, which also houses the Vahalla Bakery (a vegan bakery). They have an outdoor seating area in the front of the building, as well as in the back. They have a dining area inside, but they are not using during the pandemic. That's okay, because there is plenty of outdoor seating to choose from. If you sit out back there are tables under a beautiful big tree.
We placed our order and looked around, because they have some items for sale, such as buttons, shirts, etc. I took a look at the display case for the Vahalla Bakery goods to see what vegan baked items they had to offer. I fell in love with a really cool looking cupcake that looked like a succulent plant. I almost ordered it then, but didn't. We went outside to wait for our food and about 10 or so minutes later it was brought out to us.
My husband ordered the veggie chick'n bowl, while I ordered the Florida fried green tomato sandwich with a side of garlic mac and cheese. The food arrived and looked great! My husband's bowl was great, it was filled with different types of flavors and everything went well together. I liked the sandwich I had, but the sauce that was on it is a little overpowering. Still, it was a good sandwich and mac and cheese. I would probably not order it next time though, because I know from going to the other location that I like their veggie chick'n dippers way better!
When we finished I just had to go in and get that cupcake to go. We have an hour ride home and I ate it on the way home, sharing it with my husband. It was SO good. I loved it... it was chocolate and vanilla cake layered with pudding. And it looked so darn cool. Loved the Vahalla Bakery cupcake!
Dharma Fine Vittles is a good vegan restaurant in Orlando. We'll go there again for sure. Two thumbs up!
