Vegan dining in the Blue Ridge, Georgia area
We spent a few nights in a cabin in the Blue Ridge, Georgia area. While we were there we had some good experiences at local restaurants. If you are looking for good vegan or vegetarian dining in the Blue Ridge area, check out the places below that we went to.
Rum Cake Lady Cuban Cafe
Blue Ridge, Georgia
This place offers a vegetarian or vegan Cuban sandwich. The sandwich is really good! I've never seen a vegetarian or vegan Cuban sandwich before, so it was a real treat getting to eat there. They do also offer a few other vegetarian and vegan options. But the sandwich is the main attraction and it's worth doing there for it. They have a small outdoor seating area, so if the weather is not ideal for outdoor dining plan to get it to go.
El Burrito to Go
Ellijay, Georgia
Want some authentic vegan Mexican food? Check out this small family owned diner. El Burrito to Go offers authentic food that tastes great. We had their vegan burritos and they were really good. The chips and salsa were also great! While the place has "to go" in the menu, they do have some tables in there where you can sit to eat. They had great customer service and delicious authentic Mexican food.
Maple Restaurant
Amicalola Falls State Park
This restaurant is located within the state park. We took a great hike and then had lunch here. They have a great power bowl that has quinoa, chickpeas, tofu, and veggies, and the view of the mountains is amazing. You get a panoramic view of the mountains. You can't beat this lunch experience after the challenging hike of 600 stairs up to see the waterfall. If you want to be right next to the window, call ahead and reserve a table. We didn't and still had a great view, but some tables had been reserved.
