Review: Vege-licious Cafe in Nashville, vegan dining

Vegelicious

While on vacation this week, we dined at Vege-licious in Nashville.

Vege-licious is a small vegan restaurant that is in a house that has been turned into a business. You would ordinarily dine inside, but due to the pandemic indoor seating was not allowed. They did have an outdoor shaded seating area set up, which worked fine for us. There was something for everyone at this vegan restaurant and we all four ordered something different.

My daughter ordered the reuben. She didn't care for it, but I think it's because she's used to ours. We make vegan reubens at home and when this one was so much different she didn't care for the flavor. I didn't try it, so I can't say what I thought of it.  My son ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which he said was really good. My husband had the Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich. He said that it was great! I loves spicy food and that one really pleased him.

I had the SoulChick Plate, which is like a vegan soul food plate. It has BBQ chicken, collard greens, mac and cheese, yams, and a roll. I loved my plate! It appears that they are using the Butler soy curls for their chicken in these dishes. It all tasted really good. The sauce, the mac and cheese, collards, etc. I loved the yams. They were perfect! This was a delicious plate and I'd order it again for sure. By the way, I couldn't eat all of my food, because the plate has a lot on it. So my kids both tried some of everything and they also liked it all.

We also had good customer service here. They provided us with a nice chilled bottle of water and made sure all was good. Friendly service, plenty of options to choose from, and delicious vegan food.

Two thumbs up for Vege-licious in Nashville!
