Lightlife Smoky Tempeh Strips review - Vegan BLT


My husband and I have been eating the Lightlife Smoky Tempeh strips for years. I realized that I haven't done a post on them in quite a while, so here it is!

You can find these at some grocery stores and at places like Whole Foods Market. They come in a package all ready to be used. All you have to do is heat them up. What I like to use them for is to make a TLT (a tempeh, lettuce, and tomato sandwich). They are really good!

To make a TLT (like a vegan BLT sandwich), you just need to heat the Lightlife smoky tempeh strips up. I spray a pan with a little Pam olive oil and then heat the strips on both sides. They heat up quickly. Meanwhile, I make some toast and top it with vegan may, lettuce, and tomato. I use about 2.5 strips per sandwich. When I go to cook them I cut them in half with the spatula, so they fit on the bread better. 

The Lightlife smoky tempeh strips are organic, delicious, and are a good source of protein. Pick some up and give them a try to make a TLT or for something else. A TLT with these makes for a good lunch, or a light dinner if you want to serve it up with some soup and fruit (I serve fruit with every dinner). Yum!
