Aldi is a store that seems to be popping up all around the country. To be honest, the first two times I walked into the store I wasn't all that impressed. Then I went again and liked it and the more I went the store began to grow on me. Now, I love Aldi! I'm a regular Aldi shopper and love the many vegan finds you can get there. Aldi is a wonderful store for vegans to shop at. Let me tell you why...
Produce - Aldi has a great produce section. True, it's not as large as the produce sections in most large grocery stores, but they still have plenty to choose from, and the prices are really good. I can find lots of great produce deals every week, which is something every vegan or vegetarian needs. I routinely get great deals on fresh mushrooms, salad items, carrots, celery, potatoes, avocados, pineapples, apples, berries, and a wide variety of other fresh produce items. Many of their produce items are organic, all have good prices. Plus, everything I've tried was good when I got it home.
Snacks - Okay, so maybe some vegans or plant based eaters don't buy snacks. But many do, and this one does! While my family eats mostly healthy foods, we do also partake in some unhealthy snacks. Aldi is a great place to find vegan snacks at great prices. I've found such things as fruit leathers, trail mix, chips, tortilla chips, nuts, quinoa chips, vegan ice cream, and a variety of other vegan snacks. Plus, their cookies can't be beat. The Bento's brand cookies they carry offer numerous vegan options, and they taste really good. The mint ones taste exactly like the Girl Scout thin mints, and they are around $1.35 per package. Can't beat that!
Pantry staples - You can find lots of great affordable vegan Aldi finds for your pantry, too. I routinely find almond butter, organic peanut butter, jam (with no high fructose corn syrup), almond milk, hummus cups, organic pasta sauce, organic pizza sauce, organic rice, organic quinoa, lots of beans, spices, vegan cheese, vegan salad dressings, and more. There are lots of great vegan Aldi finds for your pantry and the prices are much better than other grocery stores. Plus, you will be surprised at how many of the options are organic and they are still affordably priced.
Earth Grown - Perhaps one of the most exciting Aldi vegan finds is the Earth Grown brand that they carry. Most of the Earth Grown products appear to be vegan, with a few of them being vegetarian. Everything I've tried of this brand is good! In fact, some is better than other vegan popular brands. Their Earth Grown vegan cream cheese is the best I've tasted and it's around $2.39 per container. Their jumbo vegan veggie dogs are really good, too! They routinely have vegan burgers, chick patties, chick strips, vegan meatballs, veggie dogs, and more. Plus, they routinely have other vegan finds that are there temporarily, such as their vegan ice cream or other specialty items. It stinks when you love them and they are temporarily available, but it's also great to have those nice treats to try out.
Aldi vegan finds galore... that's what you will find by stopping into an Aldi! The store is small, run by only a few people who do everything in the store, and because of that the prices are kept lower. As a result, your family will save money, get lots of great vegan grocery options, and be able to keep more money in your pocket. Give Aldi a find to see what vegan finds you can score!
