Annie's vegan organic mac and cheese

Pacific Organic Seitan

I love seitan, but the stores around me have a very limited number of options. There are three that I can find locally, two of which are pre-seasoned and I'm not a big fan of the seasonings they have. The third one I like, but they charge a lot for it. So I decided to check out and see if I could order it online cheaper. Sure enough, the organic plain seitan that I like is available online for a lot cheaper price. Add to that you can get free shipping when you spend $35 (I also order the only boxed vegan mac and cheese I like) and it makes vegan eating a lot easier and more affordable.

I buy the Pacific organic seitan. It comes in a shelf stable box, so it doesn't need refrigeration.

So what do I like to do with this seitan? Just about anything! You can cut it up into bite-sized pieces and use it in casseroles, stews, soups, tacos, stir fries, and more. Seitan is a very versatile "wheat meat" that is a good source of protein, tasty, and easy to work with. Check out if you want to order seitain online, too! You can also order a case of it on, so check to see who has the best price at the time you place your order.
