Easy Vegan Sloppy Joe's Recipe

While RV camping this week I had a taste for making some sloppy Joe's. I did a quick online search for a recipe and wasn't happy with what I came up with. I wanted something easy since we were going to be in the RV. I didn't want to take a dozen ingredients along with me in order to make it. I decided to wing it and make my own recipe since I didn't find one I was happy with online. So I made them tonight for dinner and they were a big hit. They were easy to make and they tasted great! I just used my electric skillet to make them, so that helped keep it simple.

Here's how to make the East Vegan Sloppy Joe's recipe:

What You Need:

  • 1 bag gardein beefless crumbles (or your favorite brand)
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 can of tomato sauce (15 ounce)
  • 2 table spoons of prepared mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of vegan Worcestershire sauce
  • buns

Pour a little olive oil in the pan, add the onions and green pepper. Soften them and then add in the vegan burger crumbles, tomato sauce, mustard, brown sugar, and vegan Worcestershire sauce. Combine the ingredients and let it all heat up. Once it's warmed up, add it to the buns and top with more fresh onion if desired. Serve and enjoy!

These easy vegan sloppy Joe's were a hit on our RV camping trip. They were delicious and I loved how easy it was to make. I'm sure we will have them again. I served the up with some couscous (which took minutes to make in the microwave) and some fresh fruit. Great dinner!
