Once you try this super easy crockpot recipe for making homemade cranberry sauce you will never go back to the canned version again! It's so easy to make and is absolutely delicious. Plus, you can make this up ahead of time to take to any vegan potluck and it is sure to impress others!
Here's what you need to make crockpot cranberry sauce:
- 1 bag of fresh cranberries (12 ounces)
- 1 cup of vegan sugar
- 1 cup of orange juice
I took this recipe to a vegan Thanksgiving potluck, so I doubled the ingredients. Put everything into the crockpot and turn it on high. Let them cook on high for around 2.5 hours. Take a look and see if the cranberries have popped open and are all soft. If so, it's done! If not, cook it another half an hour. Give it a taste and see if you need to add a little more sugar if it's sour. Once done, put in a dish and chill. Most people prefer them chilled. Enjoy!
