Vegan Ice Cream Social and "Got the Facts on Milk" documentary event

July is National Ice Cream Month. Because of this I wanted to find something with our vegetarian group to do that would allow people an alternative, so they could try vegan ice creams. We at the Daytona Beach Vegetarian Society decided to host a screening of the movie "Got the Facts on Milk?" documentary and hold a free vegan ice cream social.

The event was held yesterday at the Cinematique theater in Daytona Beach. It's a trendy little theater in a great area of town. We invited the public to join us before the movie for a free vegan ice cream social and movie screening.

This event was a success! We had plenty of varities of vegan ice cream for people to try and everything went well. The movie, if you haven't seen it yet, is great! It's a wonderful addition to my veg movie list. Two thumbs way up for the movie and the event!

My kids also took place in this event. My daughter helped serve up the cones, and my son ate a lot of ice cream. They both watched the movie.

This event was sponsored by VegFund, an amazing group that is spreading positive change across the nation. Thank you, VegFund!

Here are some pictures from this great event (pictured in the second picture: me, Sunshine Carol (from Sunshine Burgers), Terri, and my kids):
