That Washinton Post article was very sad. The mother who wrote that letter should be very proud to have such a compassionate child and respect him for it.

I completely agree! How on Earth can a parent ever try to stop their children from being compassionate toward animals? Makes no sense to me. Compassion is a good thing and the fact that the child gets it such a young age is awesome!
