I was just listening to the Bon Jovi song "We Weren't Born to Follow" at my sons request to play it (again).

This is a great song for anyone who is challenging the status quo. I think the message can easily apply to those who fight for animal rights and to put an end to cruelty toward animals everywhere.

Bon Jovi has it right. We weren't born to follow.

This is true even if your stance on animal rights is different than 97 percent of the country's (vegetarians make up 3 percent of the U.S. population). As they say in the song, this road was paved by the winds of change.

You have to hold on to and stand up for what you believe.
