Although it's not something most people do, I serve fruit with dinner every night. Some nights I make it a fruit salad. The great thing about fruit salads is they can pretty much be made with any types of fruit. Just using what you have on hand will create a tasty addition to any meal.
Last night I made vegan mushroom stroganoff, peas and whipped up a quick fruit salad to round out the meal. The fruit salad turned out great (as did the whole meal)! For this one, I chopped up one organic apple, one banana, two large strawberries, and added a 1/4 cup of golden raisins. I mixed that all together, along with one tablespoon of lemon juice.
Simple, tasty and what a hit! Add a fruit salad to your meal... Your kids will love the fruit variety and you will be dishing up plenty of tasty vitamins.
