Woodlands Vegetarian Indian Cuisine in Orlando - Review

Post written by VegBlogger. Follow me on Twitter.

I've become a big fan of Indian food and since we were heading over toBeach 011
Orlando for the day, we figured we would stop in and check it out. I've heard from several other people that restaurant has good food, so it has been on my list of places to visit for a while.

Woodlands is located on Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. The restaurant also has a location in Lauder Hills, Florida, as well as Charlotte, North Carolina. They specialize in South Indian cuisine, and the entire menu is vegetarian.

Their sign outside stated that they offer a weekday buffet, but we were pleasantly surprised to find they had it when we arrived, even though it was a Saturday.

I took a look at the buffet, which costs $10 per person, and it looked quite appetizing. I spoke with the host and inquired about what foodsBeach 015
were vegan. He informed me that most of the items on the buffet were indeed vegan. As it turned out, there was only one dish that had cheese and then there two yogurt sauces. So it was quite easy to dine vegan at this Indian vegetarian restaurant.

After filling our plates with a variety of things from the buffet (including bread, coconut chutney, rice, eggplant, etc.), they brought us each a dosai (a thin rice crepe). The food was all very good.

They do change what is served on the buffet, so I'm looking forward to going back again to try the new options. It's definetly a place that we will stop in when in the area and wanting some tasty vegan Indian food.
